Job summary

New Era Cap LLC, a Buffalo-based global brand, seeks a hands-on Assistant Manager in Legal Operations to lead contract lifecycle management initiatives and maintain our legal tech ecosystem. You will guide platform implementations, drive adoption, and collaborate with Finance, IT, and HR to optimize contracting processes.

The role emphasizes governance, documentation, and stakeholder coordination to ensure efficient, compliant operation of CLM and related systems at a 100% on-site Buffalo

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in a corporate legal department, law firm, or legal operations
• Experience supporting or leading a CLM or digital repository system implementation preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Paralegal certification, J.D., PMP, Six Sigma, CLOC or related credentials are a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and ongoing support of contract lifecycle management, contract repository, and related legal tech platforms
• Coordinate with Legal leadership to prioritize workstreams, gather requirements, design workflows, and plan go-lives
• Prepare implementation roadmaps, timelines, milestones, and status reports for leadership
• Administer and optimize CLM systems post go-live, drive user adoption and process improvements
• Support change management, training, and governance around legal tech usage
• Track KPIs related to contract management and efficiency; identify improvement opportunities
• Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams (finance, procurement, IT, sales, HR)
• Maintain confidentiality and governance of corporate records and contract repositories
• Provide training and support for Legal Department systems and knowledge management tools
