Job summary

New Era Cap, LLC in Buffalo, NY is seeking an Assistant Manager, Legal Operations & Contract Management to lead CLM implementation and ongoing contract governance. The role is 100% on-site at HQ, in a fast-paced fashion with cross-functional collaboration across finance, IT and legal teams.

The position reports to Legal Department leadership and requires 3–5 years in a related field, plus strong project management and change-management skills. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• n
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in a corporate legal department, law firm, legal operations, contract management, procurement operations, project management, or a related role.
• n
• Demonstrated experience supporting or leading a CLM or digital repository system implementation is strongly preferred.
• n
• Paralegal certification, J.D., PMP, Six Sigma, CLOC, or related credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, configuration, rollout, and ongoing support of contract lifecycle management and related legal technology platforms.
• n
• Prioritize implementation workstreams with leadership, gather requirements, design workflows, and develop templates and clause libraries.
• n
• Create roadmaps, timelines, milestones, and status reports for Legal Department leadership.
• n
• Support governance, records management, and training for contract management systems and related tools.
• n
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including finance, procurement, IT, sales, marketing, HR, and senior leaders.
