Job summary

Beacon Hill is partnering with a growing organization to hire a Learning & Development Specialist for a 6-month contract opportunity in Minneapolis. The role is onsite 1 day and remote 4 days per week, with a pay rate of $38-$45 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities include designing and delivering training programs, creating instructional materials, and supporting talent management initiatives. Strong focus on LMS tools (Articulate/Camtasia) and Workday knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Organizational Development, Education, or related field.
• 3-5 years in Learning & Development or related areas.
• Strong adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Experience creating training materials, job aids, and e-learning content.
• Experience facilitating virtual and/or in-person training sessions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient PowerPoint skills; LMS and e-learning tools (Articulate, Camtasia).
• Experience with Workday Talent modules is strongly preferred.

Beacon Hill is partnering with a growing organization to hire a Learning & Development Specialist for a 6-month contract opportunity. This role is ideal for an experienced training and development professional who enjoys creating engaging learning programs, partnering with business leaders, and supporting talent development initiatives across the organization.

The Learning & Development Specialist will be responsible for designing and delivering training programs, creating instructional materials, supporting talent management initiatives, and helping employees build the skills needed for success and career growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain training materials including e-learning modules, facilitator guides, job aids, and user guides.
• Facilitate virtual and instructor-led training sessions on topics such as leadership development, performance management, and employee development planning.
• Support talent management initiatives including performance management, succession planning, and talent review programs.
• Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to identify learning needs and develop effective training solutions.
• Track program participation, manage enrollments, and maintain training records and reporting.
• Translate complex or technical information into engaging and easy-to-understand learning content.
• Assist with Learning Management System (LMS) administration and training program coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Experience developing training materials, job aids, and e-learning content.
• Experience facilitating virtual and/or in-person training sessions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint.
• Experience with LMS platforms and e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate or Camtasia.
• Experience with Workday Talent modules is strongly preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Creating Workday training guides and user documentation.
• Supporting talent reviews, succession planning, and performance management initiatives.
• LMS administration and learning program management.
• Consulting with leaders to identify and address training needs.
