Leigh & Co. Events is seeking a Lead Wedding Coordinator for the 2026 season and beyond. This flexible contract role allows planners to set their own schedules while providing critical wedding planning services in Oregon. Responsibilities include coordinating with clients and vendors, managing event logistics, and ensuring a seamless experience for couples on their special day. Ideal candidates should have at least 2 years of wedding or event planning experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work weekends.
Qualifications
Must have 2 years experience as a wedding planner or event planner.
Ability to work weekends is essential.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to carry and lift 30 lbs.
Responsibilities
Attend a final details call with clients approximately 6 weeks prior to the wedding.
Lead and facilitate the ceremony rehearsal on the day prior to the wedding.
Serve as the primary advocate for the couple onsite.
Oversee ceremony and reception setup in alignment with the event design.
Manage full wedding day execution from initial vendor arrival through final breakdown.
Greet, direct, and act as the main point of contact for all vendors.
Communicate setup instructions clearly to vendors.
Coordinate and assist with placement of personal and event details.
Support the wedding party and family members with guidance.
Ensure all end-of-event items are properly packed and accounted for.
Proactively manage and resolve any issues or last-minute changes.
