Job summary

ArborMetrics AMS is seeking a Contract Forester/Utility Forester to join our field team. You will safely patrol energy corridors, identify vegetation needs for pruning or removal, and follow Client standards.

The role emphasizes ISA pruning practices, safety, and coordination with landowners. Ideal candidates have forestry or natural resources education and experience in arboriculture, GIS, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resources, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in forestry, arboriculture, horticulture or tree-related green industry preferred.
• Knowledge of tree identification and GIS/Microsoft Suite usage.

Responsibilities

• Safely patrol energy corridors and identify vegetation for pruning, removal, or protection per Client standards.
• Classify prescribed work based on field conditions and ISA pruning techniques; apply herbicide as needed.
• Conduct Tree Risk Assessments and document growth rates.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and landowners; obtain permissions for vegetation work.
• Address customer service and internal compliance issues and participate in storm/emergency responses.
