Job summary

ArborMetrics (AMS) is seeking a Consulting Utility Forester to work in outdoor field environments, conducting patrols and vegetation management for utility corridors. The role emphasizes safety, independent work, and engagement with landowners and agencies, with ongoing training and potential certifications.

The position involves reporting on vegetation conditions, applying ANSI line clearance standards, and coordinating with clients to ensure compliant vegetation management strategies.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resources, or related discipline.
• Experience in forestry, arboriculture, horticulture, or tree-related green industry preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Experience with GIS software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Patrol Preparation: organize records, maps, and paperwork for patrol circuits.
• Field Patrol Duties: identify vegetation for pruning/removal per Client standards.
• Landowner & Stakeholder Engagement: obtain permissions and communicate work plans.
• Coordination & Safety: follow safety protocols and travel to sites.
• Additional Responsibilities: participate in storm and emergency response.
