Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a contracted school social worker to support two elementary schools in Michigan during a maternity leave period from early November through December 2026, 37.5 hours per week. You will deliver counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral supports to students, collaborating with teachers and families to implement individualized plans.

Qualifications

• Valid Social Work licensure in Michigan (LLMSW, LMSW, or equivalent).
• Experience as a school social worker, preferably at the elementary level.
• Strong knowledge of counseling techniques, crisis intervention, and behavioral supports.
• Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver counseling, guidance, and crisis intervention services to elementary students.
• Collaborate with teachers, administration, and families to develop individualized support plans.
• Conduct student assessments and participate in IEP or 504 meetings as needed.
• Encourage positive social development and advocate for student needs within the school community.
• Maintain detailed, confidential documentation of student interventions and progress.
