Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated Social Worker for a middle school in Michigan on a full-time, full-year contract. You will provide individual and group counseling, develop intervention strategies, and work with teachers and families to address academic, social, and emotional needs.

You will maintain case files, participate in IEP/504 meetings, and advocate for students while promoting a safe and supportive climate.

Qualifications

• Active 310 School Social Worker certification is required.
• Experience working in school environments, preferably at the middle school level.
• Solid understanding of social work principles, crisis intervention, and counseling techniques.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Strong collaboration abilities with teachers, staff, parents, and administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to middle school students
• Develop and implement intervention strategies to support students' academic and social success
• Partner with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to address barriers to learning
• Serve as an advocate for students, connecting them and their families to community resources as needed
• Maintain thorough case files, conduct assessments, and participate in IEP/504 meetings
• Promote a safe, healthy, and supportive school climate for all students
