Job summary

Neal R. Gross and Co. is recruiting experienced Court Reporters for in-person, client-site assignments nationwide.

Contractors will take down proceedings using stenography, voice, or digital capture and must exhibit strong attention to detail and reliability. Responsibilities include administering oaths, transporting and operating equipment, preparing advance worksheets, and ensuring secure handling of exhibits and backups.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience as a Court Reporter
• Ability to pass security screening for client sites (government buildings)
• Proficient with technology and recording equipment
• Excellent English language skills and professional demeanor

Responsibilities

• Takes down proceedings using Machine Shorthand, Voice, or Digital capture
• Capture verbatim proceedings of courts, meetings, depositions, and hearings
• Administer oaths and participate in depositions and hearings
• Operate and transport equipment to capture the record accurately
• Prepare for assignments with case review and hardware setup
• Ensure exhibits are secured, backups completed, and worksheets uploaded
• Maintain reports and logs and respond promptly to communications
• Represent Neal R. Gross and Co. professionally in all proceedings
• Interact with high-level clients (Federal Govt, State Govt, Private Industry)
