Job summary

Contract Controller position based in Cincinnati, OH, leading day-to-day accounting and finance operations for a growing organization. You will supervise AP, AR, collections, GL, and month-end close while partnering closely with the CFO and executive leadership to balance execution with strategic oversight.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, leadership experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and ERP proficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Controller/Assistant Controller/Accounting Manager or similar leadership experience preferred.
• GAAP knowledge, financial reporting, and best practices.
• Experience managing AP, AR, collections, GL, and month-end close processes.
• Hands-on with day-to-day operations while leading teams.
• Strong ERP/accounting system experience and advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to partner with CFO and executives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and general accounting.
• Lead month-end close and financial reporting processes.
• Collaborate with CFO and executive team on financial strategy.
• Preserve strong internal controls and accounting policies.
• Support continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Manage and develop accounting staff in a contract-based setting.
