Job summary

Strategic HR Client Job Openings in Akron, OH seeks an experienced Contract Controller to drive day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, collections, GL, and month-end close, in collaboration with the CFO and executive leadership. The 120-day contract offers a remote or hybrid work arrangement with a Monday–Friday full-time schedule and a pay rate of $55-$60/hour.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility.
• Experience as Controller/Assistant Controller or Accounting Manager preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting and accounting best practices.
• Experience managing AP, AR, collections, GL and month-end close processes.
• Able to lead accounting teams while hands-on with daily operations.
• Strong ERP/Accounting system experience and advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to partner with CFOs and executive leadership.
