Job summary

Our client in Ohio, a growing manufacturing company, seeks an Assistant Controller to join the team. The role reports to the Controller and focuses on leading month-end close, forecasting, and internal controls, with exposure to C-suite leadership.

The position requires 5+ years in accounting/finance and a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field. Strong analytical and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in accounting/finance roles.
• Strong understanding of budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Experience with internal controls and audit coordination.

Responsibilities

• Present monthly financial results to the Controller, department heads and leadership.
• Lead month-end close within a one-week timeline and manage day-to-day finance operations.
• Partner with department leaders to develop accurate financial forecasts.
• Review and approve journal entries and maintain internal controls.
• Coordinate the annual budgeting process and monitor cost variances.
• Manage external and internal audit processes for compliance and accuracy.
