UDR, Inc. is seeking an Affordable Housing Specialist in Southern California, supporting multiple properties including Eight 80 in Newport Beach.

This 4–5 month contract position handles applications, renewals, waitlists, and compliance with local and state rules for affordable housing programs. You will manage Section 8 and credit verifications, educate residents, prepare data for month-end reporting, and coordinate with program administrators to maximize allowable rents.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential properties or related business operations is required.
• Experience working with federal housing programs and financial eligibility determinations.
• Administrative experience including clerical tasks and reporting.
• Section 8 program experience is preferred.
• OneSite software experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on Affordable Housing Program regulations and requirements.
• Process applications for Affordable Housing and Section 8, including credit and resident certification.
• Approve qualified applications and maintain participant files with required documentation.
• Educate residents on program issues and conduct participant orientations as needed.
• Work with monitoring agents to ensure rents and income levels meet maximum allowable standards.
• Provide back-up support to sales and assist prospects with lease terms and local area information.
• Assist communities with reports, accounting tasks, and delinquencies to minimize bad debt.
