Job summary

Beach Front Property Management, Inc. seeks a roving Compliance Specialist to oversee LIHTC, HUD, PBV, PSH, and HOME program requirements across LA County multi-site communities.

You will handle annual and interim certifications, audits, and coordinate housing placements with authorities and service providers. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in affordable housing compliance, strong knowledge of relevant regulations, and experience with income certifications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of direct experience in affordable housing compliance or affordable property management.
• Proven knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, PBV, PSH, or HOME regulations.
• Hands-on experience completing income certifications and recertifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee compliance and documentation for LIHTC, HUD, PBV, PSH, and HOME programs across multi-site communities in LA County.
• Complete accurate annual and interim income certifications/recertifications; prepare resident files for audits.
• Manage CES referrals, applicant matching, and coordinate housing placements with Housing Authorities, Quadel, and service providers.
• Travel to properties to review physical files, correct compliance deficiencies, and collaborate with managers to maintain full occupancy.

Pay: $29.00 – $30.00 / hour + $500/month Auto Allowance

Key Responsibilities

• Program Compliance: Oversee compliance and documentation for LIHTC, HUD, PBV, PSH, and HOME programs across multi-site communities in LA County.
• Certifications & Audits: Complete accurate annual and interim income certifications/recertifications; prepare resident files for internal and external audits.
• Navigation & Referrals: Manage Coordinated Entry System (CES) referrals, applicant matching, and coordinate housing placements with Housing Authorities, Quadel, and service providers.
• On-Site Collaboration: Travel to properties to review physical files, correct compliance deficiencies, and partner with Regional and Community Managers to maintain full occupancy.

Requirements

• 2+ years of direct experience in affordable housing compliance or affordable property management.
• Proven working knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, PBV, PSH, or HOME regulations.
• Hands-on experience completing income certifications and recertifications.
• Proficiency with Yardi (or equivalent property management software).
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel throughout LA County.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Coordinated Entry System (CES) and Housing Authority/Quadel workflows.
• Industry Certifications: HCCP, COS, TCS, or Fair Housing Certification.
• Active California Real Estate License.
