Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, is seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist to lead the CORE Operating System across Melbourne Operations, driving lean enhancements in office, engineering and factory settings.

You will mentor teams, manage strategic projects, and champion culture change while traveling up to 15% and delivering measurable KPI improvements that benefit customers and shareholders.

Qualifications

• University degree plus 8+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years, or without a degree 12 years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years in a continuous improvement role.
• Ability to travel 15% of the time.
• U.S. Citizenship required for access to systems.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate continuous improvement events to deliver value and KPI improvements.
• Mentor, coach and train teams on CORE tools for self-sufficiency.
• Lead the implementation of the CORE Operating System across Melbourne Operations.
• Improve processes to ensure quality and on-time delivery and drive KPI improvements.
• Use tools to reduce cost/spend and improve productivity in business and manufacturing processes.
• Define shop-floor management strategy including visual management and material flow.
• Coordinate IT systems and knowledge content (e.g., SharePoint).
• Lead strategic projects and policy deployment as needed.
• Act as a culture champion and change agent.
