Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist- CORE Operational System to lead the Operations team in maturing the CORE OS and delivering measurable improvements for customers, employees, and shareholders.

You will implement lean manufacturing methods across office, engineering, and factory operations, drive KPI improvements, and partner with cross-functional teams to realize ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

University degree required; advanced degree preferred with years experience.
5+ years in a continuous improvement role.
Ability to travel 15% of the time.
U.S. Citizen – access to restricted systems is required.

Responsibilities

Lead the continuous improvement plan across Melbourne Operations.
Mentor, coach and train teams to deploy CORE tools.
Plan and execute CORE Operating System implementation.
Improve processes to ensure quality and on-time delivery and KPI growth.
Utilize tools to reduce cost/spend and improve productivity.
Define shop floor management strategies (Visual Management, Cell Design, Material Flow).
Navigate IT systems (SharePoint and web content delivery).
Lead strategic projects and policy deployment initiatives.
Act as a culture champion and change agent.
