Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Senior Continuous Improvement Leader to drive deployment of the CORE Operating System across Melbourne Operations. You will mentor teams, lead strategic projects, and partner with manufacturing and business leaders to deliver targeted KPI improvements and on-time delivery.

What You Will Do:
  • Facilitate events/activities to deliver tailored value to our customers and positively affect KPI.
  • Mentor, Coach and/or Train teams to develop an understanding of and engagement with the CORE tools empowering them to become self-sufficient in deploying effective continuous improvement plans.
  • Plan, lead and execute the implementation of the CORE Operating System across Melbourne Operations.
  • Improve processes to enable Quality and On-time delivery to our customers and drive KPI improvement to support profit growth.
  • Use tools to improve cost/spend, including productivity/efficiency in Business / Manufacturing processes.
  • Define and coordinate implementation of shop floor management strategy including but not limited to Visual Management, Cell Design, Material Flow Navigate IT Systems (SharePoint, web-based content delivery, etc.).
  • Lead strategic projects / events as needed including annual goal alignment / policy deployment and macro plan.
  • Act as a culture champion and change agent.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a continuous improvement position.
  • Ability to travel 15% of the time.
  • U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems or sites.

  • Lean Practitioner.
  • Lean blackbelt certification Effective presentation skills.
  • Proven success driving tangible process improvements in both Business and Manufacturing Processes.
  • Proven success leading cross-functional teams.
  • Deep knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices (TPS based), Business Process Improvement.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
