You will implement lean manufacturing methods across office, engineering, and factory operations, drive KPI improvements, and partner with cross-functional teams to realize ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

  • University degree required; advanced degree preferred with years experience.
  • 5+ years in a continuous improvement role.
  • Ability to travel 15% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the continuous improvement plan across Melbourne Operations.
  • Mentor, coach and train teams to deploy CORE tools.

As a Continuous Improvement Specialist- CORE Operational System, you would lead the Operations team through developing and executing the continuous improvement plan to mature our operating system and deliver meaningful results to benefit our customers, employees, and shareholders. We are looking for a strong individual with a background in implementing continuous improvement and lean manufacturing methodologies across office, engineering, and factory operations. This position is based in our Melbourne, FL facility.

What You Will Do:
  • Facilitate events/activities to deliver tailored value to our customers and positively affect KPI.
  • Mentor, Coach and/or Train teams to develop an understanding of and engagement with the CORE tools empowering them to become self-sufficient in deploying effective continuous improvement plans.
  • Plan, lead and execute the implementation of the CORE Operating System across Melbourne Operations.
  • Improve processes to enable Quality and On-time delivery to our customers and drive KPI improvement to support profit growth.
  • Use tools to improve cost/spend, including productivity/efficiency in Business / Manufacturing processes.
  • Define and coordinate implementation of shop floor management strategy including but not limited to Visual Management, Cell Design, Material Flow
  • Navigate IT Systems (SharePoint, web-based content delivery, etc.).
  • Lead strategic projects / events as needed including annual goal alignment / policy deployment and macro plan.
  • Act as a culture champion and change agent.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a continuous improvement position.
  • Ability to travel 15% of the time.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
