About The Role
The role owns the content engine for a B2B SaaS platform: blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, product pages, and SEO-driven assets that turn technical buyers into qualified pipeline.
Content is a primary revenue channel, not a side project. The person in this role will work closely with product marketing, sales, and engineering to translate complex technical concepts (cloud infrastructure, APIs, developer workflows) into content that ranks, converts, and shortens sales cycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute the editorial calendar across blog, webinars, case studies, and gated assets tied to quarterly demand-gen targets
- Lead SEO strategy: keyword research, content briefs, on-page optimization, and technical SEO collaboration with web teams to grow organic pipeline
- Write and edit high-quality long‑form content including whitepapers, solution pages, and technical explainers for developer and IT buyer audiences
- Partner with sales and product marketing to build case studies and bottom‑of‑funnel assets that accelerate deals
- Distribute content across channels (email, LinkedIn, paid amplification) and optimize based on engagement and conversion data
- Measure content performance in GA4, HubSpot/Marketo, and SEMrush; report on organic traffic, MQLs, and content‑attributed pipeline to leadership
- Manage freelance writers, designers, and video vendors to scale output without sacrificing quality
What We Are Looking For
- 4-7 years of content marketing experience, ideally at a B2B SaaS or developer‑tools company
- Proven track record of content that drove measurable organic growth and pipeline contribution
- Strong SEO expertise: comfortable with keyword research tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Clearscope), search intent mapping, and technical SEO basics
- Excellent writer and editor with the ability to make complex technical topics clear and compelling
- Hands‑on with marketing automation and analytics platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, GA4, Looker)
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: experience writing for developer audiences, familiarity with APIs and cloud infrastructure concepts, or a portfolio of content that ranks for competitive B2B keywords
