Job summary

Avoca is hiring its first dedicated Content Lead to build a content function from the ground up. You’ll define how Avoca earns attention, shape stories, and drive demand across Google and AI search, with customer stories and original research powering credible, market-shaping insights.

You’ll work hands-on from idea through research, creation, distribution, and measurement, using AI to scale while preserving originality and quality. This role reports to Head of Growth in NYC.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in content marketing or related role in a fast-growing B2B tech company.
• Portfolio of work showing content programs thatGenerated qualified traffic, conversions and pipeline.
• Strong SEO knowledge and AI-search familiarity (AEO/GEO).
• Exceptional writing, interviewing, and narrative skills.
• Strong editorial judgment; turn rough ideas into credible, distinctive content.
• Experience across the buyer journey: high-intent pages to customer stories.
• Commercial and analytical instincts with a grasp of demand generation.
• Deep fluency with AI tools to improve quality, speed, and volume.

Responsibilities

• Build and own Avoca’s content strategy, identifying topics and POVs based on customer needs and revenue potential.
• Grow visibility across Google and AI search by mapping buyer behavior and citations.
• Own end-to-end content program: research, interviewing, writing, editing high‑intent pages and stories.
• Turn content assets into demand generation campaigns across channels.
• Define and track performance across search visibility, traffic quality, conversions, and pipeline.
• Build AI-first workflows to accelerate research, creation, and distribution while maintaining quality.
