Job summary

Republic Services in Beatty, NV is seeking a Containerized Waste Processing Tech I to ensure safe and effective treatment and handling of containerized wastes. You will receive, screen, unload, and track incoming waste streams and residuals, using barcode scanners and forklifts to maintain accurate records and inventory.

The role requires basic computer skills, the ability to operate light equipment, and a strong focus on accuracy and multi-tasking in a fast-paced waste processing environment.

Qualifications

Ability to operate light equipment such as forklift and pallet-jack.
Basic computer skills to properly operate handheld scanners.
Skilled using hand and shop tools.
Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Review, sign, and process incoming manifests; resolve discrepancies.
Direct off-loading for receipt of primarily non bulk containers into storage systems.
Use handheld barcode scanners to record waste inventory and tracking.
Operate forklift to handle non-bulk containerized wastes; store waste containers properly.
