Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Processing Technician to ensure safe, effective treatment and handling of containerized wastes. You will receive, screen, unload, treat and track incoming waste streams and outgoing residuals, with emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities include processing manifests, directing off-loading, using handheld scanners, operating forklifts, collecting samples, and labeling. Join a team committed to reliable environmental solutions and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Ability to use light equipment such as forklift and pallet-jack.
• Basic knowledge of computer operations to operate handheld scanners.
• Skilled using hand and shop tools.
• Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
• Must be able to prioritize, stay focused and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Review, sign, and process incoming manifests, noting discrepancies.
• Direct off-loading operations for receipt of primarily non-bulk containers.
• Use handheld bar code scanner for inventory tracking of containerized wastes.
• Operate forklift to handle non-bulk containerized wastes.
• Collect and analyze waste samples; consolidate like-wastes when possible.
• Store waste containers properly in designated storage areas.
• Assist in generating internal bar code labels and apply them on containers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
