Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Processing Technician to ensure safe, effective treatment and handling of containerized wastes. You will receive, screen, unload, treat, and track incoming waste streams and outgoing residuals in a fast-paced facility.

Responsibilities include manifest processing, storage management, barcode labeling, and accurate inventory control using handheld scanners. Forklift operations and attention to detail are essential in daily duties.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklift or pallet-jack preferred.
• Basic computer skills to use handheld scanners.
• Strong accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Review, sign, and process incoming manifests; note discrepancies.
• Direct off-loading for receipt of containers into storage.
• Use handheld barcode scanners for inventory control.
• Operate forklift to handle non-bulk wastes.
• Collect and analyze waste samples.
• Store containers in designated storage areas.
• Assist in generating internal bar code labels and labeling containers.
