Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Processing Technician to ensure safe, effective treatment and handling of containerized wastes.

The role involves receiving, screening, unloading, and tracking waste streams and residuals, with emphasis on accurate data entry via handheld scanners. Responsibilities include directing off-loading for non-bulk containers, utilizing forklifts, collecting samples, and ensuring proper storage and labeling.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow safety procedures and handle hazardous materials in a safe manner.
• Proven accuracy and thoroughness in daily tasks.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming manifests, sign off, and note discrepancies.
• Direct off-loading for receipt of primarily non bulk containers into storage systems.
• Use handheld barcode scanners for accurate inventory and waste tracking.
• Perform forklift operations to move non-bulk containerized wastes.
• Collect and analyze waste samples for processing.
• Consolidate like-wastes to optimize operations and costs.
• Label containers with internal barcodes and verify accuracy.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
