Job summary

Norman Regional Medical Center is seeking a PRN Patient Access Clerk to support check-in/out, verify insurance, collect payments, and help maintain smooth clinic flow.

The role requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and strong customer service. A high school diploma and at least one year of clerical or healthcare experience are expected, with EMR familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Computer knowledge required.
• Prefer additional education in medical terminology, electronic medical record training, or business classes.

Experience

• One year clerical experience and six months health-care experience are required preferably in a similar role.
• Prefer medical office, insurance, referral and prior authorization, hospital or computer experience.
• Keyboard skills accurate 40 wpm.
• Expertise in customer relations, telephone skills and computer applications is required.

(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience).

Compensation

• $14.86-$24.27/hr depending on previous work experience.
