Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal's Consumer and Retail Group (CRG) is seeking a Management Consulting Associate for full-time roles starting in September 2027. We recruit undergraduates and non-MBA master's graduates with graduation between December 2026 and July 2027, offering exposure to real client projects across growth, operations, and transformation.

Ideal candidates are analytical, self-starting, collaborative, and persuasive communicators who thrive in fast-paced environments and are willing to travel

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or non-MBA master’s degree from a top university.
• Internship or relevant experience in consumer/retail or consulting.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
• Analytical and data-fluent, able to distill complex insights into clear actions.
• Polished communicator with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Willing to travel up to 70% (Monday–Friday).

Responsibilities

• Growth strategy and implementation for clients.
• Lead large-scale transformation programs.
• Support M&A, carve-out and post-merger integration.
• Improve operations and efficiency.
• Optimize merchandising and assortment.
• Provide interim leadership on projects.
• Deliver digital and analytics IT strategy.
• Establish and manage program offices.
• Drive channel optimization initiatives.
