Alvarez & Marsal Deutschland GmbH’s Consumer & Retail Group (CRG) seeks a Management Consulting Associate for new graduates and non-MBA master’s candidates. Full-time, 2027 start, travel up to 70% and a structured onboarding path.

You’ll work on growth strategy, large-scale transformation, M&A, and operations for private equity and corporate clients. Ideal candidates are analytically rigorous, self-starters with strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and proven collaboration abilities.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or non-MBA master’s degree from a top university.
• Internship or relevant experience in consumer/retail, consulting, or corporate roles with financial/operational focus.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
• Analytical and data-fluent, able to distill complex insights into clear actions.
• Creative problem-solver with a talent for building tools and streamlining processes.
• Commercially minded with experience in proposal development.
• Polished communicator with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Willing to travel up to 70% (Monday–Friday)

Responsibilities

• Growth Strategy & Implementation: support initiatives and drive outcomes to client goals.
• Large Scale Transformation: assist with programs that restructure operations.
• M&A, Carve-out and Post-Merger Integration: contribute to deals and integration activities.
• Operations, Merchandising & Assortment Optimization: help optimize business performance.
• Interim Leadership and Program Management Office: provide hands-on leadership support.
