Job summary
AXA XL Americas Middle Market is seeking a Senior Underwriting Officer - Construction to drive profitable growth and advanced technical underwriting within the Construction line of business.
The role reports to the Head of Industry Solutions and requires deep Construction knowledge, strong leadership, and collaboration with underwriting, claims, actuarial, product and broker partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and extensive Construction underwriting experience; CPCU/CRIS/RPLU preferred.
- Deep technical knowledge of Construction coverages, exposures and rating.
- Strong communication, collaboration and leadership abilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level technical support to underwriters and enable profitable growth.
- Monitor portfolio performance with underwriting, claims and actuarial teams.
- Collaborate with product, underwriting and broker partners to identify market opportunities.
- Drive underwriting strategy and risk selection using market insights and loss trends.
- Engage cross-functional groups to address issues in Casualty Lines and related areas.
- Represent AXA XL as a Construction SME at industry conferences.
