Job summary

AXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, is seeking a Senior Underwriting Officer - Construction to support the Middle Market in the US. You will bring deep technical construction underwriting expertise to guide risk selection and profitable growth while collaborating with underwriting, actuarial, claims and broker partners.

You will report to the Head of Industry Solutions. A Bachelor’s Degree is required and CPCU/CRIS/RPLU designation is preferred.

Qualifications

Deep technical experience in Construction coverages, exposures and rating.
Advanced knowledge of underwriting principles from extensive experience.
Intimate knowledge of Construction market for mid-sized clients.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
People leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide expert-level technical support to underwriters to enable profitable growth.
Monitor portfolio performance with Underwriting, Claims and Actuarial to identify growth opportunities.
Collaborate with Product and Underwriting and broker partners to enhance market offerings.
Drive underwriting strategy and risk selection based on market and loss trends.
Build relationships with Claims, Compliance, Regulatory, Legal for Casualty lines.
Represent AXA XL as Construction SME at industry conferences.
