Job summary

Bechtel Corporation seeks a Project Timekeeper to perform timekeeping and craft payroll for a Houston-based construction project. The role requires confidentiality, strong ethics, customer-service orientation, and the ability to meet deadlines; overtime and weekend work are expected.

Experience with eTrack and MS Office is essential. Responsibilities include payroll data entry, onboarding support, attendance verification, reporting, and maintaining employee files.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Timekeeper.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Able to work overtime, weekends and shift work.
• Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Analytical abilities and ability to work independently.
• Must have legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate payroll data entry with Labor Relations for craft professionals.
• Enter and maintain employee data, including hires, terminations, rate changes, and classifications.
• Support onboarding activities for new project hires, including site badging.
• Verify daily craft attendance using eTrack and reconcile timesheets.
• Maintain badges and time clocks, including replacement badges.
• Create and distribute daily and weekly reports and metrics.
• Process weekly payroll checks and direct deposit notifications.
• Handle time-off requests and daily call-in notifications.
• Maintain craft employee files and record retention.
• Support gate watch activities and badge scanning for site personnel.
• Provide payroll-related customer service.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Chief Timekeeper or Project Finance and Accounting Manager.
