Job summary

JKL Associates, a Division of PUSH, is seeking a Construction Superintendent for the NW Region to manage projects, lead foremen and crews, and mentor staff. This role requires extensive travel and close coordination with customers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and profitability.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of supervisory experience in utility construction, hands-on field skills with heavy equipment, and a proven track record of staffing

Qualifications

• Five years of supervisory experience in utility construction.
• Experience with backhoe/loader, excavator, cable plow and compact track loader.
• Able to motivate, mentor, and lead teams.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed safety, quality and productivity requirements for projects assigned.
• Lead, direct, and mentor Foreman, crews to ensure on-time completion and budget targets.
• Staff projects, actively recruit new talent, retain existing employees and promote career advancement.
• Manage employee relations, recognition, discipline and performance evaluations.
• Recruit and approve subcontractors and change orders; ensure timely processing of paperwork.
• Plan and schedule projects to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Monitor project performance for productivity, safety and quality; resolve issues.
• Maintain daily logs, timekeeping, invoices, and purchase orders.
