Job summary

JKL Associates, a Division of PUSH, seeks a Superintendent to lead telecom infrastructure projects, direct foremen and crews, and ensure safety, quality and profitability. You will recruit staff, manage schedules, and maintain strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, and engineers while meeting deadlines and budgets.

Five years of supervisory utility construction experience, CDL preferred, and proven ability to motivate teams in outdoor environments are required.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years supervisory experience within a utility construction setting.
• Experience with digging operations in city and rural areas and operating equipment such as backhoe/loader, excavator, cable plow and compact track loader.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed safety, quality and productivity requirements for projects.
• Lead, direct, and mentor Foreman and crews to ensure on-time completion and financial/non-financial objectives.
• Staff projects, recruit talent, and promote career advancement.
• Manage employee relations, recognition, discipline, and evaluations.
• Recruit and approve subcontractors for projects.
• Initiate training and cross-training for personnel to become field experts.
• Plan and schedule projects to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Monitor project performance and resolve issues relating to productivity, safety, and quality.
• Review daily time, invoices and purchase orders; maintain paperwork.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and report issues to Fleet Manager.
• Report weekly on equipment hours and miles to Fleet Manager.
• Understand project contracts and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
