Job summary

New York GC in Bronx, NY is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead commercial interior projects from start to finish, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

You will coordinate with Project Managers, subcontractors, and vendors, read drawings, uphold NYC building codes, and manage schedules and budgets. 62-Hour SST Supervisor Card required; private-sector NYC renovations experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent, specifically within commercial interior construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, sequencing, and safety regulations.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills to effectively manage field teams and stakeholders.
• Strong familiarity with New York City building codes and construction regulations.
• Ability to troubleshoot on-site challenges with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, MEP, and construction drawings.
• 62-Hour SST Supervisor Card (Required)
• Proven experience managing private-sector commercial renovation projects in New York City.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
