Job summary

Qualifications

About the Company

We are a well-established General Contractor with an active pipeline of projects across NYC, specializing in ground-up and interior construction within residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee on-site operations and drive project execution from start through completion. This individual will be responsible for managing subcontractors, maintaining schedules, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met on projects ranging from $20M – $200M+.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily on-site construction activities
• Manage subcontractors, site logistics, and sequencing of work
• Develop and maintain project schedules (look-ahead planning)
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with plans, specs, and safety standards
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and ownership teams
• Conduct site meetings and inspections
• Ensure compliance with NYC DOB regulations and union requirements

Qualifications

• 5–15+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a GC or CM firm
• Experience with ground-up and/or large-scale interior projects
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and trade coordination
• Proven ability to manage schedules and drive projects to completion
• Experience working in NYC (union labor, logistics, DOB) required
• DOB license highly preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Base Salary: $140,000 – $200,000 (depending on experience)
• Bonus: 10–20%

Note: Senior Superintendents with DOB licenses and extensive NYC experience can command total compensation well into the $200K+ range.
