RevCats is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to run field operations, solve problems in real time, and keep multiple projects moving in Manhattan and surrounding areas.

This role emphasizes hands-on site leadership over desk work. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of commercial interiors, trades, and scheduling, with excellent communication with clients and crews, and flexibility for night/weekend work as projects require.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of construction experience.
• Commercial construction experience.
• Commercial interiors and office fit-out experience.
• Experience supervising subcontractors and multiple trades.
• Framing, drywall, finishing, electrical, HVAC knowledge.
• Strong sequencing and scheduling knowledge.
• Experience interacting with commercial clients and building representatives.
• Independent troubleshooting and sound decision-making.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Visit and oversee active commercial job sites throughout Manhattan and the surrounding area.
• Monitor progress, workmanship, manpower, and project schedules.
• Coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors.
• Ensure crews understand what needs to be completed and keep work moving.
• Conduct job-site and client walkthroughs when needed.
• Identify field issues early and determine practical solutions.
• Communicate with clients, building representatives, subcontractors, field crews, and company leadership.
• Help coordinate project sequencing and schedules based on client deadlines.
• Ensure the right labor and trades are in place for upcoming work.
• Follow projects through completion and help resolve punch-list or closeout issues.
• Handle the unexpected — from standard fit-out work to repair, compliance, facility, and one-off construction assignments.

Commercial Construction Superintendent

Location: New York, NY / Manhattan

Salary: $125,000-$150,000+ per year, depending on experience

We are actively interviewing for an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent who knows how to run work in the field, solve problems as they happen, and keep multiple active projects moving.

This is not a desk-based project management position. We need someone who wants to be on job sites, understands commercial construction from the field up, and can confidently work with trades, subcontractors, clients, building personnel, and our internal team.

Our projects are not always traditional large-scale construction jobs. We handle commercial office fit-outs, renovations, facility projects, repairs, corrective work, and specialized projects that often require someone who can assess a situation, determine what needs to happen next, and get the right people moving.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

This position requires someone with substantial hands-on construction knowledge. You should be able to walk onto a job site, understand what is happening, recognize when something isn't right, and communicate effectively with experienced tradespeople.

Qualified candidates should have:

• At least 10 years of construction industry experience.
• Commercial construction experience.
• Commercial interiors and office fit-out experience.
• Experience supervising subcontractors and multiple construction trades.
• Working knowledge of trades such as framing, drywall, finishing, electrical, HVAC, and related commercial construction work.
• Strong construction sequencing and scheduling knowledge.
• Experience interacting directly with commercial clients and building representatives.
• The ability to independently troubleshoot field problems and make sound decisions.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• A valid driver's license.
• The ability to travel between job sites during the workday.

This Role Is Different

This is not a traditional commercial construction management team where every project looks the same.

One week may involve overseeing an office build-out. Another assignment may involve correcting existing conditions, coordinating repairs, addressing facility issues, or completing specialized work on an occupied commercial property.

We need someone who understands construction well enough to adapt.

There will not always be someone standing beside you telling you what to do next. You need to be comfortable assessing situations, coordinating people, making decisions, and communicating when an issue needs to be escalated.

Schedule and Territory

Most work is located in Manhattan, with occasional projects in Jersey City and other regional locations.

Because much of our work takes place in occupied commercial buildings, some projects must be completed when client offices are closed. Night and weekend work may therefore be required depending on the project.

The position requires flexibility rather than a traditional fixed office schedule.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range is $115,000-$150,000+ per year, depending on experience and the level of responsibility the successful candidate can handle.

We would consider paying above the stated range for an exceptional candidate with the right construction knowledge, leadership ability, and field experience.
