Insight Global is seeking a skilled Subcontractor Billing Specialist with a background in construction to join our team in Charleston, SC. This role is essential to ensuring accurate and timely billing across multiple construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience handling large volumes of data, and a solid understanding of construction billing practices.

Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr

Location: Charleston, SC (On-site)

Compensation: $70,000–$75,000/year

Responsibilities

• Manage invoicing processes for subcontractors across various construction projects.
• Prepare and process progress billings, final invoices, and change orders.
• Review contracts, work orders, and subcontractor agreements to ensure billing accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to resolve billing discrepancies and provide supporting documentation.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue invoices.
• Maintain organized records of billing activities and documentation.
• Assist in monthly reporting of billed and unbilled revenue.
• Reconcile project cost reports with contract terms and budgets.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Stay informed on industry billing practices and compliance standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
• 5–6 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or similar roles within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage 300, Viewpoint, or Procore (a plus).
