Job summary

CEC FACILITIES LLC in El Paso, TX is seeking a Safety Coordinator to implement safety programs, conduct field walks, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee project-specific corrective actions. This role focuses on coaching employees to foster safe behaviors and a strong safety culture on site.

You will lead daily safety tasks, audit site conditions, train new workers, and coordinate incident investigations, while complying with OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree or extensive training in environmental health and safety.
• 1–3 years in construction safety experience (electrical, mechanical safety preferred).
• OSHA 30 Construction required; OSHA 510/511 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coach Foremen in ORM boards and Job Hazard Analyses; document daily ORM board.
• Work day and/or night shifts; overtime as schedule requires.
• Submit Site Safety Audit reports with findings and photos.
• Interact with field personnel to address safety observations and drive resolutions.
• Deliver site-specific safety orientations for new employees.
• Assist with incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Audit power tools and equipment for proper maintenance.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety rules and project requirements.
• Perform other duties to ensure efficient department operations.
