Job summary

CEC Companies in El Paso, TX is seeking a Safety Coordinator to implement safety programs, coach crews, and foster an injury-free culture on construction projects.

You will conduct daily field walks, manage regulatory compliance, lead audits, and develop corrective actions. This safety-sensitive role requires OSHA 30 and strong communication; travel and site work at heights may be involved.

Qualifications

• Degree or extensive training in environmental health and safety discipline is a plus.
• 1 - 3 years in construction safety experience (electrical, mechanical safety experience preferred).
• OSHA 30 Construction required; OSHA 510/511 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coach Crew Foreman/General Foremen in completing ORM boards and Job Hazard Analyses.
• Submit Site Safety Audit reports daily with hazards, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
• Interact with field personnel and site supervision to address safety observations and provide resolution feedback.
• Assist with site safety orientations for new employees joining the project.
• Assisting site supervision in completion of incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Perform periodic audits of power tools and equipment to ensure good working order.
• Subcontractor compliance with applicable rules and regulations, and project safety requirements.
• Perform other related duties to ensure efficient and effective processes, completion of projects and smooth operation of department.
