Job summary

Installed Building Products is seeking an experienced Scheduler/Dispatcher to keep crews, customers, and schedules organized and moving smoothly at our Tacoma, WA branch. This role requires ownership of the schedule, proactive problem solving, and clear communication to adapt to changes throughout the day.

You will schedule and dispatch crews, coordinate daily jobs, and interact with builders, customers, installers, and managers.

Qualifications

• Experience in scheduling, dispatching, construction, logistics, home services, or a similar operations role.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure, while communicating clearly.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch installation crews.
• Coordinate daily jobs, changes, and customer needs.
• Communicate with builders, field superintendents, customers, installers, sales, and managers.
• Handle schedule conflicts professionally and confidently.
• Ensure crews have accurate job information before they leave.
• Pull job information and purchase orders from customer portals.
• Create job tickets and maintain accurate information in our systems.
• Track open issues and follow through until resolved.
• Assist with scheduling optimization when plans change.
