Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a skilled Scheduler to develop and manage CPM schedules for large construction projects, collaborating with engineers, superintendents, and the VDC team to ensure on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include maintaining baseline schedules, coordinating with procurement, and producing detailed progress reports for ORM meetings. Requires a4+ years of scheduling experience and proficiency in Primavera P6.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Construction Management or related field with 4+ years of scheduling experience
• Large construction project experience (> $50m)
• Experience in construction positions (e.g., Field Engineer, Assistant Superintendent)
• Proficient use of scheduling software (Primavera P6)
• Knowledge of scheduling tools (Acumen Fuse, Change Inspector)
• Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions, and trade practices
• Ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to develop project schedule
• Knowledge of estimating to support project schedule development
• Familiar with earned value concepts and using construction resources to validate productivity and durations
• Ability to manage competing demands and meet deadlines
• Process and analytical skills to make decisions
• Highly organized with attention to detail
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
• Demonstrate professional interpersonal skills to develop relationships with project team members and stakeholders to acquire information and discern impact to schedule

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage CPM schedules for large or multiple complex construction projects
• Reference Scheduling Playbook to adhere to company policies and practices
• Collaborate with project team to confirm Contract Item List and ROJ dates
• Create schedules using CPM logic and scheduling software
• Monitor progress and performance against the baseline schedule
• Provide monthly scheduling progress for ORM or project reviews
• Develop recovery strategies to maintain schedule adherence
• Engage with VDC team to align schedules and models
• Prepare detailed schedules with WBS and milestones
• Support BD and Marketing with proposal scheduling activities
