Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a seasoned Scheduler for Connecticut projects. The role focuses on developing and maintaining complex schedules for large or multiple projects, aligning with the CPM method and coordinating with the project team to ensure on-time completion.

Responsibilities include collaborating with Engineers, Superintendents, and VDC teams to align schedules, tracking progress, and issuing monthly scheduling updates for operations reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction, or related field with minimum 4 years of related experience.
• Experience on large construction projects (> $50M).
• Proficient use of scheduling software applications (e.g., Oracle Primavera P6).
• Knowledge of scheduling comparison tools (e.g., Acumen Fuse, Change Inspector).
• Ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to develop project schedule.

Responsibilities

• Develop thorough understanding of WBS and its importance for large/multiple projects.
• Reference Scheduling Playbook to adhere to company policies.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to communicate project plan and schedule values.
• Coordinate with project team to confirm Contract Item List and ROJ dates.
• Develop schedules using CPM logic-based baselines and scheduling software.
• Review performance, schedule delivery, logistics, and staffing-related decisions.
• Prepare detailed schedules with the Preconstruction, Procurement, Construction teams.
• Engage with VDC to align schedules and models.
• Define project schedule metrics and monitor critical path to forecast end-date.
• Create look-ahead schedules and recovery strategies to meet schedule adherence.
• Review and update Last Planner System within schedules.
• Identify events impacting schedule and perform time-impact analyses.
• Produce scheduling reports for ORM and client requests.
