Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Bridgewater, NJ is seeking a Scheduler to develop schedules for large or multiple complex construction projects, revise and review project schedules with the project team, and monitor progress against the plan.

You will collaborate with engineers, superintendents, and VDC to generate CPM-based baselines, track critical path, and prepare dashboards and recovery strategies to keep projects on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction, or related field with 4+ years of experience.
• Experience on large construction projects (>$50M).
• Proficient in scheduling software, especially Primavera P6.
• Knowledge of scheduling tools like Acumen Fuse and Change Inspector.
• Ability to interpret contract documents and develop project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Develop and understand Work Breakdown Structure for large or multiple complex projects.
• Reference 'Scheduling Playbook' to follow company policies, practices and activities.
• Develop relationships with project stakeholders to communicate the project plan and support project performance.
• Collaborate with Engineer and Superintendent to confirm CIL, develop ROJ dates, and review Procurement Schedule.
• Develop project schedule based on CPM logic-generated baselines using scheduling software.
• Review schedules and recommend decisions related to performance, delivery, logistics, and staffing.
• Study schedule deliverables and question content to improve accuracy.
• Collaborate with Preconstruction, Commissioning, Procurement, Construction to prepare detailed schedules.
• Engage with VDC team to align schedules and models.
• Define project schedule metrics and monitor critical path to forecast end-date.
• Provide updates, create recovery strategies, and support adherence to schedule.
• Challenge team based on schedule data for As Built vs. Planned progress.
• Review Pull Plan and incorporate Last Planner System into schedule.
• Identify events affecting schedule and develop time impact analyses.
• Conduct project site progress walks to capture scheduling progress data.
• Generate scheduling reports and provide monthly updates for ORM or project reviews.
• Support end-users in using scheduling software.
• Collaborate with BD and Marketing to develop proposal scheduling activities.
