Job summary

Rueter’s Equipment in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking an ambitious Outside Sales Representative to drive construction equipment sales across the Council Bluffs and Omaha markets. You’ll spend most of your time in the field—building relationships, prospecting new accounts, and helping customers find the right equipment solutions.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in outside sales (construction/equipment preferred), excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a proven ability to meet sales

• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment.
• Proficiency with CRM and basic computer tools.

As we expand our presence in the Council Bluffs and Omaha area, we’re looking for a results-driven sales professional to join our team.

The Role

We are seeking an ambitious Outside Sales Representative to drive construction equipment sales across the Council Bluffs and Omaha markets. In this role, you’ll spend the majority of your time in the field—building relationships, prospecting new accounts, and helping customers find the right equipment solutions for their businesses.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum of 3 years of proven success in outside sales (construction, equipment, or related industries strongly preferred).
• Strong understanding of construction equipment and jobsite needs is a plus.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-starter who thrives in a competitive, fast-paced sales environment.
• Proficiency with CRM and basic computer tools.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Work Environment & Travel

• Primarily field-based role (80–90% of time spent on the road in the territory)
