Job summary

UMC is seeking a Safety Manager to coordinate and monitor construction safety programs across locations. You will ensure compliance with policies and regulations, provide on-site oversight, and lead safety meetings and training.

The role requires five years of experience, knowledge of environmental rules, and strong communication plus organizational skills. A valid driver's license is required, and sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Safety Director to strengthen UMC's culture of safety.
• Provide on-site safety oversight, conduct inspections, and guidance on job sites.
• Contribute to planning for new projects, including safety start-up requirements.
• Support the development of work plans, job hazard analyses, and pre-task planning.
• Inspect safety equipment on-site and prior to deployment from the warehouse.
• Advise forepersons and crews on safety procedures and best practices.
• Maintain communication with contractor and owner safety representatives.
