Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is hiring a Construction Safety Manager to lead safety and health initiatives across projects.

You will develop site-specific safety plans, coordinate with project teams, and oversee ORM processes ensuring regulatory compliance and risk mitigation across electrical, industrial, federal, and commercial environments. Applicants should bring extensive S&H leadership experience, knowledge of NEC/NFPA70E, and strong training program design capabilities to foster a safe and compliant

Qualifications

  • 13+ years of safety management experience, emphasis on developing and implementation training programs with a high school diploma / GED.
  • 7+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in safety management discipline (electrical experience preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience with a Master's degree Experience conducting S&H training, Regulatory compliance expert/1910, 1926, EM-385.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Safety Management Systems knowledge, skill and experience ANSI-Z10, OHSAS 18001, ISO 31000
  • Understanding of culture and culture building skills
  • Trainer Designation OSHA 500/502 Safety and Health / Occupational Safety degree from an ABET accredited program Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP)
  • Willingness to pursue Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
  • Previous electrical / construction / industrial /federal and commercial S&H experience, Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP)

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of Construction Project Safety and Health (S&H) and Risk Management.
  • Develop and implement site-specific project safety plans.
  • Collaborate with Project Management in ORM process leadership.
  • Create, develop and implement safety training plans and curricula.
  • Conduct new hire orientation (OSHA 10, 30 and CPR/FA training).
  • Redesign training material, programs and the employee experience in hands-on training.
  • Interpret electrical safety standards NEC/NFPA70E/NESC and oversee NFPA 70E training.
  • Monitor and measure training effectiveness.
  • Mentor safety professionals and communicate updates to safety training material.
  • Stay current with regulatory, operational and technical safety matters.
  • Participate in meetings with customers and contractors and advise on risk/hazard mitigation.

Education

13+ years of safety management experience, emphasis on developing and implementation training programs with a high school diploma / GED.
Bachelor's degree in safety management discipline (electrical experience preferred)
