Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is hiring a Construction Safety Manager to lead safety and health initiatives across projects.

You will develop site-specific safety plans, coordinate with project teams, and oversee ORM processes ensuring regulatory compliance and risk mitigation across electrical, industrial, federal, and commercial environments. Applicants should bring extensive S&H leadership experience, knowledge of NEC/NFPA70E, and strong training program design capabilities to foster a safe and compliant

Qualifications

13+ years of safety management experience, emphasis on developing and implementation training programs with a high school diploma / GED.
7+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in safety management discipline (electrical experience preferred)
5+ years of experience with a Master's degree Experience conducting S&H training, Regulatory compliance expert/1910, 1926, EM-385.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Safety Management Systems knowledge, skill and experience ANSI-Z10, OHSAS 18001, ISO 31000
Understanding of culture and culture building skills
Trainer Designation OSHA 500/502 Safety and Health / Occupational Safety degree from an ABET accredited program Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP)
Willingness to pursue Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
Previous electrical / construction / industrial /federal and commercial S&H experience, Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP)

Responsibilities

Oversight of Construction Project Safety and Health (S&H) and Risk Management.
Develop and implement site-specific project safety plans.
Collaborate with Project Management in ORM process leadership.
Create, develop and implement safety training plans and curricula.
Conduct new hire orientation (OSHA 10, 30 and CPR/FA training).
Redesign training material, programs and the employee experience in hands-on training.
Interpret electrical safety standards NEC/NFPA70E/NESC and oversee NFPA 70E training.
Monitor and measure training effectiveness.
Mentor safety professionals and communicate updates to safety training material.
Stay current with regulatory, operational and technical safety matters.
Participate in meetings with customers and contractors and advise on risk/hazard mitigation.
