Job summary

Mass. Electric Construction Co. seeks a Safety Manager to lead and audit the safety program across projects, driving a safety-first culture, developing training materials, and coordinating with OSHA and other officials.

You will manage environmental health and safety initiatives, monitor hazards, and ensure regulatory compliance while collaborating with stakeholders. Relocation will be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• 5 years of experience managing safety in construction projects.
• Must possess BCSP certifications: CSP, ASP, CHST, STSC, CIT, or STS.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and hazard recognition, record keeping and injury management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willing to relocate and work at various sites.

Responsibilities

• Managing the company environmental health and safety programs at the project level.
• Compiling and interpreting safety statistics to reduce hazards.
• Inspecting facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to ensure compliance.
• Monitoring workforce for unsafe behaviors and coaching employees.
• Developing training materials and a training records system.
• Interfacing with OSHA/OSHA inspectors during site visits.
