Job summary

Mass. Electric Construction Co. is seeking a Safety Manager to uphold the core principle “Nobody Gets Hurt.” The role focuses on creating, supporting, and auditing safety programs, training staff, and ensuring compliance on a construction project.

You will oversee safety management, collaborate with craft workers, and lead investigations while driving continuous improvement across site operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction safety, Federal and OSHA standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; strong organizational and communication skills.
• Independent and team player with ability to access all construction site areas.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, update, and communicate the Site-Specific Safety Plan (SSSP).
• Ensure safety protocols align with regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Collaborate daily with craft workers to promote safety program buy-in.
• Lead investigations into incidents and near misses; analyze root causes.
• Coordinate with authorities during inspections and audits; report safety metrics.
