Job summary

Mass. Electric Construction Co. is seeking a Safety Manager to lead and audit our safety programs on a construction project.

You will develop and implement safety protocols, train staff, and ensure compliance with regulations, company policies, and industry standards. The role centers on field operations and coordinating with subcontractors to improve safety outcomes. The position requires 5+ years in construction safety management, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction safety management.
• Knowledge of construction safety, Federal, and OSHA standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, update, and communicate the Site-Specific Safety Plan (SSSP) to all project personnel, including subcontractors.
• Ensure safety protocols align with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and company standards.
• Collaborate daily with craft workers to encourage buy-in and ownership of the safety program.
• Exercise Stop Work Responsibility to ensure adherence to company policies, regulations, and work plans.
• Lead investigations into safety incidents and near-misses and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities during inspections and audits.
• Provide timely and accurate safety reports to project management and senior leadership.
