Job summary

Mass. Electric Construction Co. seeks a Senior Safety Manager to develop, implement, and audit safety programs on construction projects. You will lead site safety plans, coach crews, and coordinate with regulators to ensure regulatory compliance and worker wellbeing.

You will oversee incident investigations, KPI tracking, and reporting to site leadership. This role requires 5+ years in safety management and strong OSHA knowledge.

Qualifications

• Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in construction safety management.
• Knowledge of construction safety, Federal, and OSHA standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational, communication, and detail-oriented skills.
• Independent and team player.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, update, and communicate the Site-Specific Safety Plan (SSSP) for project personnel and subcontractors.
• Ensure safety protocols align with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and company standards.
• Collaborate daily with craft workers to promote buy-in and ownership of the safety program.
• Lead investigations into safety incidents, near misses, and accidents.
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities during inspections and audits.
• Establish KPI dashboards and regularly report on safety performance.
• Provide timely safety reports to project management and senior leadership.
