Mass. Electric Construction Co. (MEC) is seeking a Senior Safety Manager to lead safety programs on a construction project.

You will develop and audit safety plans, train staff, and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies. The role focuses on field safety, subcontractor coordination, and incident investigations. The position requires 5+ years in construction safety management, strong knowledge of OSHA standards, and the ability to work with diverse teams across sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction safety management.
• Knowledge of construction safety, Federal, and OSHA standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational, communication, and detail‑oriented skills.
• Independent and team player with access to all site areas.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, update, and communicate the Site-Specific Safety Plan (SSSP) to project personnel and subcontractors.
• Ensure safety protocols align with regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Collaborate daily with craft workers to promote safety ownership.
• Lead safety investigations into incidents and near misses; implement corrective actions.
• Provide timely safety reports to project management and senior leadership.
